Lustering is done outside in a separate building. Palladium, 23k gold and silver are purchased from Engelhard Corp., and come in a viscous solution. These are very toxic until fired. Extreme caution must be taken and proper clothing including a special face-mask, must be worn during this process. It is at this point that these precious metals are applied to the fired pieces with a brush, anointing her work with the precious metals. Tatiana's work is unique from its conception to crystalization. How long does it take to master this artform? How long does it take to become a ballet dancer or a concert pianist?
